3.17 Announce

During this step an "announcement" can be made. Currently a "email" method is supported. In order to announce the correct release, the string $version can be placed in the email settings and be replaced by the current release version before being sent. RERO does not announce by default See section 2.1 Options.

This step, like the "Purge" step, is not considered as release critical. So if the announcement process fails, the rest of the release process still goes.
